One thing you must do at Burning Man, (unless you have an RV and an indoor toilet), is make frequent use of the public porta potties scattered throughout this temporary desert city. Staying hydrated is important in the desert environment and quantifying the trips to the porta potties helps determine whether you should drink more water.

The amazing Temple of Transition was briefly the largest temporary wooden building in the world...

The Temple...

Every year the temple gets covered in writing by Burning Man participants - often messages to a loved one or friend who died in the previous year. The burning of the temple on Sunday night is solemn as everyone's writing and the wood goes up in flames as a crowd numbering in the tens of thousands watches in silence.

Every morning after sunrise, I pulled up a stool and had some cereal or granola at Cereal Thriller in the 3:00 keyhole.

At sunrise we ventured on bikes to a structure to the east near the walk-in (no cars) camp. The structure was at least 4 stories and fitted together with no glue, nails or screws.
