My first Critical Mass was in October 2005, the month I moved to San Francisco. It was close to Halloween and the streets were filled with outrageous costumes. It felt so good to be part of such a large event with all the bikers grinning from ear to ear jubiliantly rolling down Market St. As I cruised with the crowds triumphantly down the Broadway Tunnel, I knew I had made the right choice moving to San Francisco. This city was right for me.

We followed the mass of bicycles into the basement of the Moscone Convention Center. The police began to herd us out after about 15 minutes.
